The Cat Crowd was created in December 2018 in response to the overwhelming over-population of feral cats in the Central Valley of California. The contracted shelter for the City and County of Fresno at that time felt their only option was to euthanize all feral cats and kittens brought to them, even those who had been TNR’d (Trap-Neuter-Released) by other shelters.

We are among those who believe there is a better, more humane option, than the relentless killing of animals in situations they had no part in creating. To that end, we trap, nueter/spay and return feral cats to their communities to be feed by community members and adopt out the kittens and cats who are friendly and would make good pets.

Of course, all have been vaccinated, flea controlled and wormed and microchipped for future identification.
